I know that we are all adjusting to a different way of life right now, and I wanted to give you some resources for you and your family that you can use from the comfort of your home. The Internet Archive is a free online library filled with public domain materials- so classic books and audiobooks read by volunteers, as well as other archived video footage, software and even websites.
You can find Librivox audiobooks in the Internet Archive, but here is their page- these are Public Domain books that are read by volunteers.
Audible Stories (free streaming service for Kids & Families during this time)
While school is out, Audible is offering free streaming of children’s, teen and classic books.

Mo Willems, of Elephant and Piggie and Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus fame comes to you daily from his studio to inspire you to doodle, answer your questions, and show you a little bit about the process of creating a book. Very inspiring, funny and engaging for kids, and will have them wanting to create their own amazing creations.
STEM Ideas:
Inspire the kids to build Rube Goldberg Machines!
I’ve used some of these videos when teaching Rube Goldberg Machines, and I find Joseph to be hilarious. An entertaining approach to a fun STEM concept, and great to get kids thinking about how to create and innovate.

National Geographic Kids Science Lab
NatGeo has some great experiments- some we have, or would use in after school!
Check out NASA at Home, for activities, e-books, virtual tours, videos and more for kindergarten on up! There are activites like building your own spacecraft, measuring air pollution, learning about the Universe, eclipses, asteroids and more! Check it out!
Become a Citizen Scientist with NASA:
Go outside, take a walk and look at the clouds! (We can do this easily and maintain social distancing) And while you’re at it, download this app, and send data to NASA.
Virtually Visit Museums & Historic Sites:
Google has been collecting 360 degree views of museums and historic sites for years, allowing us to virtually walk through exhibits without leaving our homes. Tour some of the worlds most beautiful collections here.
