Digital Resources

As a Newbury Public Library patron, you may download a great selection of audiobooks and e-books from Overdrive and Hoopla. This service is currently only available to Newbury residents and property owners. For more information, please refer to our Library Policies Page.

Overdrive is offered through the NH State Library, and offers a wide selection of titles for all ages. All you will need to access the titles is your library account number, which can be obtained by contacting the library. You will be able to download up to 3 titles at a time using Overdrive! If you have difficulty installing or using the application a librarian may be able to help you, or you can view the video below.

Hoopla is a library of e-books, audiobooks, comics, movies and music that is free for you to use if you are a member of our library. The library is a pay-per-use subscription for us, so it means that we get charged per checkout, not a flat fee. You can check out up to 5 items per month. All you need to sign-up for an account is your library name, library card number and your password- the same as you would use for Overdrive.

Hoopla can be downloaded as an app to use on your tablet, smartphone or smart tv. You can also use your computer browser to stream. For more information on how to use Hoopla on your devices  click here (PDF).
