For over 25 years, Rich Stadnik has been hunting for and propagating useful, yet long ignored apple trees. His work led to the discovery of many unnamed varieties uniquely suitable for hard cider.
He established the Pup’s Cider Company in 1999 to offer classic New England ciders to the public. Join us for an interactive and informal discussion on New Hampshire’s forgotten apple trees and how he turns these ‘feral’ fruits into delicious hard cider. He will be bringing several apple varieties to try as well as some non-alcoholic cider varieties to sample. Feel free to bring your own apples from your gardens to compare varieties!
