Afterschool at the Library

Join us for a step back in time! Starting Tuesday October 3rd until Tuesday October 24th from 3:30-5:30 pm. Sign-up at the library, by calling (603)763-5803, or emailing reference@newburynhlibrary.net

Week 1 (Oct. 3) – Meet Dr. Joshiah Bartlett. Play some games, try medicine, and learn about life in 1775.

Week 2 (Oct. 10)- Learn about Civil War 1860. Meet Quartermaster Sergent Robert McKinley and learn about the soldiers life. We will also be learning the correct way to fold a flag.

Week 3 (Oct. 17)- Learn about Scottish traditions that came to America! Listen to the bagpipes and maybe learn to play a Scottish instrument. We will also be trying some Scottish food.

Week 4 (Oct. 24)- Hear stories about brave animals who served throughout history, from glowworms to bears!
