Join us for a fascinating history of the League of NH Craftsmen with Miriam Carter, executive director of the League of NH Craftsmen. The League of NH Craftsmen is much more than its annual Craftsmen Fair at Mt. Sunapee. It was formed in the 1920s by two women who wanted to promote crafts here in NH. As the Depression crushed the economy, the League provided a way for craftsmen to maintain skills and provide some income. By 1932, the League of NH Craftsmen was established and its first shop opened in Wolfeboro. Miriam Carter will take us from its modest beginnings to today when it has become a nationally recognized leader in craft.
