Volunteering your time and skills is a satisfying way to become involved and benefit our community.
A variety of volunteer opportunities are available for adults and students to assist staff with a variety of daily
needs such as sorting and shelving materials, hospitality, and other projects.
We occasionally need help with children's programs, assisting children with crafts or activities.
If you would like to be called when we need such help, please tell Lea McBain.
We are considering offering homework help to elementary and middle school students a
couple of times a week. If you are a retired teacher or enjoy working with children, please
give your name to Lea McBain.
If you have a suggestion for a program, or if you are willing to present a program, please contact either Rosie Johnson
or Lea McBain.
Volunteers are needed to help with special events organized by the library staff and by the Friends of Newbury Library.
These events include the Memorial Day book / bake sale, the Old Home Day book sale, and special presentations.
Please talk to Rosie Johnson about these opportunities.
