It looks like a interactive concert, it sounds like a interactive concert, and to the kids that’s what it is.
But to the parents, staff and caretakers, Space Jam with Miss Julieann is a workshop, teaching them how to use songs to help support a child’s developmental needs, no matter how varied they are. Using the original songs from her new album, “Miss Julieann: Therapeutic Songs for Kids”, Julieann Hartley, MT-BC, NTP will be getting the children to move, shake, imagine, laugh and challenge themselves in a variety of ways. The children will play instruments and dance, while the adults learn about how to take the music home and adapt it to better meet their child’s needs. Of course, throughout the program, everybody will have an opportunity to play instruments and participate in the finale “Space Jam”. Throughout all the jamming, Miss Julieann will be sharing tips to adults on the songs from the album as well as childhood classics on how to address a variety of developmental skills with the music. At the end, Miss Julieann will be around to sign CDs and help address any parents questions about how to adapt a song for to better support their child.
